Street sign on Southgate

Reported via mobile in the Street nameplates category anonymously at 11:56, Thursday 26 February 2026

Sent to Hull City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9003787.

The street signs on Southgate have been defaced by kids they are only done with tape. Emergency vehicles will find it hard. We was promised yellow lines outside our bungalows over 2 years ago yet nothing has happened. Parking can be horrendous and makes it difficult getting off and on our drives, also very dangerous in summer when kids are playing. You also need yellow lines down one side of Battersea park it’s the main way on to the Leeway but on an evening you wouldn’t get a fire engine down there as the park on both sides and can only just squeeze a car through. Give way markings painted around here but they missed where Finchley close meets Hammersmith close, no one gives way we have had a few near misses. I have reported this to the Hull council but nothing was done.
