Street lighting part two

Sent to Lewisham Borough Council 1 minute later
The response from the contractor is absolute rubbish they agreed at the time installing the lighting in Aylward it had been badly planned, there are two lamps in the road only yards apart at the junction of Sunderland and Aylward then the next lamp is next to a tree then the next lamp is at the corner of Aylward Road. One lamp position was remove from the middle of the road and never replaced. The new lamps give out less light then the old type lamps and now there even fewer of them, how can that be correct ? Someone from the contractors should visit out road at night then they will see how dark it is.

The street lighting contractors carried out a light level test and state that it in within regulations however one lamp is covered by the canopy of a nearby tree, so the light level is low but the contractors still won't do anything about, it's just another cost cutting exercise. They cut the number of lamps by one and have put the new lamps in the wrong place but just won't admit they are in error. They say they carried out extensive planning but anyone one with a bit of common sense can see the lamps are in the wrong place !! Would you put a lamp next to a tree ?

All the trees in Alyward Road have now been cropped back and i have informed Skanska of this Skanska will carry out another light level test the week commencing 23rd October 2017 and will inform me of the test results, I would like to add that the light level is still too low between the lamps and an additional lamp will need to be installed.
