Yet another banging grid

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category by Steve sfaragher@hotmail.com at 18:45, Tuesday 24 February 2026

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8991758.

Grid on edge lane on the outbound lane is banging when traffic passes over it, I don't know who fits these grids but they start playing up all the time sounds like a train going over railway point, cher dunk cher dunk cher dunk (that's three cars running over it) Maybe the contactors are dont realise very few motorists drive at 30mph, and that very large lorries use the road too.

Updates

  • There seems to be a large proportion of the grids on edge lane that this problem occurs, they are either not being installed correctly or the traffic is too heavy or fast for the road cosntruction
