Rats near public bench due to food litter

The area next to the public bench at the corner of North Street and East Street has an extremely high number of rats. This is probably due to the wet weather and lots of people leaving food waste after trying to feed the ducks and leaving behind takeaway waste. The volume of rats in this area is likely to be a public health problem. I managed to photograph one but there were I over three running around at the time.
