A Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown problem has been found

Rear of 22: We have noticed that behind the garden the bank seems to be falling away and the shrubs are leaning very far forward. I am worried that if we have a particularly heavy period of rain, it could collapse completely and take some of our garden with it. Please could you advise who is responsible for the upkeep of the banks. I'm assuming it just needs someone to add some earth and stabilize it? I feel this matter needs to be attended to sooner than later. Any advice and solutions greatly appreciated

  • Investigation: Completed (No Action Necessary) - Thank you for your enquiry. From your report we understand that you have concerns relating to the bank that are situated alongside Public Footpath DU2 in Welford. Having carried out a site inspection of this Public Footpath it was found that the bank is not affecting the Public Right of Way, and the route was clear and accessible for pedestrians to use. West Northamptonshire Highways Rights of Way Team do not own any land over which a Right of Way passes. As the bank is not affecting access along Public Footpath DU2 and this department do not own them, we are afraid that we cannot carry out any works or give permission for the bank to be repaired.
