Newlands Park street name plate missing from remaining pair of short poles, jct of Newlands Park and Lennard Rd, Penge

Reported via mobile in the Sign Missing/Damaged category anonymously at 00:11, Sunday 22 February 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8971231.

Newlands Park street name plate missing from remaining pair of short poles, jct of Newlands Park and Lennard Rd, Penge (opposite the Penge East Station parade of shops).

Perhaps the SNP is in the hedging - I could not see it

There is Police blue / white hazard tape around and locals report a vehicle collision in the last week.

Police should have driver details to reclaim the cost of reinstatement.

As an additional comment, may I suggest installation of robust, kerbside bollards on this 90° main road corner. There is a demolished residential low wall from at least two previous collisions.

I fear it is only a matter of time before a vehicle crashes into the inhabited maisonettes on the corner here No.s 1-4 Newlands Croft, Lennard Rd.

Please also refer my request to the Highways Dept.
