Carriageway Defect Before Right-Turn Lane – A30 London Road
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 08:25, Friday 20 February 2026
Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8960090.
There is a large pothole on the A30 London Road, immediately before the right-turn filter lane at this location.
The defect is significant — larger than a dinner plate — and presents a clear hazard to vehicles. While other potholes nearby have been partially repaired, this particular one appears to have been overlooked and remains untreated.
Given its size and position in the carriageway, I would appreciate it if this could be inspected and repaired as a matter of urgency.
The attached images are screenshots from Google Maps provided solely to illustrate the exact location. They do not show the current defect.

A lot of potholes have now been white painted but the first one, the largest one, has not - and all these potholes are within feet of each other?!
