This tunnel is for pedestrians and motor bikes/bicycles access. There are gates to allow access for emergency services. If there were another fire in the Goodsyard those vehicles would be blocked by these inconsiderate and opportunistic car owners. There is a broken access gate at one end. Either fix the gate or give heavy parking penalties. Ideally both.

  • There was a car parked here tonight as I walked through the tunnel. But then there's also growing crowds of homeless people sleeping rough in the tunnel. Have LBTH or the police just decided it's not important enough? I appreciate it's maybe not a top priority, but it adds to a general feeling of dilapidation.
