Missing tree
Reported via desktop in the Tree Planting Request category anonymously at 14:30, Tuesday 17 February 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8940183.
This is a continuation of FixMyStreet ref: 7432543 which itself was a continuation of ref. 5444565 which was originally reported in January 2024 but was closed with the report "Our contractor has been notified to taken appropriate action." By way of a recap, following removal of a damaged tree (a Japanese Cherry) a couple of years ago, your highways contractor mistakenly tarmacked over the tree pit preventing planting a new tree. The highways contractor should be required to make good their mistake by reinstating the tree pit, ready for replanting in the forthcoming planting season. We're already a couple of years into this sorry saga; please don't leave it another year without action. And please don't close this report until the issue has actually been rectified properly.
