Pot holes in Bective Road and Newington Road

Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 20:42, Monday 16 February 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8934878.

Following the recent cold weather all manner of pot holes opened up in Bective Road and Newington Road. In fact all the roads in Northampton are destroyed but these are the ones near me.

  • Can you please make contact with the residents who are constantly leaving recycling bins in the small service road at the rear of 46 - 60 Chalcombe road also 187, 191 Harborough road as they consistently leave their overflowing bins in the access road before the day of collection and in the wrong weeks for the particular bin day. Then leave them till the following week! They constantly leave them blocking the pavements and access for cars trying to park. Also please remind them that over flowing bins will not be taken and extra rubbish next to bins will not be taken either!!!

  • Some more examples of the bins still there today!

  • Why has there been no update on this? I reported this 16 February and you’ve not even bothered replying let alone sent anyone out to fix them. I attach a photo of just one of the pot holes in Bective Road. And Newington Road is just the same. Full of pot holes. Can you please reply to this report and confirm you’re going to actually do something about it!
