I’ve noticed a number of seemingly, “man made” trenches that have been dug out, at intervals, on both sides of Marsh Lane & Coopers Hill, & the road at the end of Coopers Hill that leads to the A30, Eversley. These large dugouts are extending into the tarmac in the road, which is unlit. In my opinion, they are a road hazard, should a driver’s wheel become stuck while inadvertently driving over it in poor visibility, due to weather conditions or at night. I have endeavoured to report this issue on 2 occasions, but no action has been taken. The lanes are narrow and it wouldn’t take much for a driver of a large vehicle to force an on coming vehicle into one of these man made trenches. I find the condition on both stretches of the road very concerning and would appreciate you giving this issue your urgent attention. I would also appreciate your reply to: charlissimo@hotmail.co.uk. With regards, Charlotte Walters.
