Urgent – Severe carriageway collapse across full width creating stopping hazard at traffic lights (Lady’s Lane near the court, Northampton)

I am reporting serious carriageway damage on Lady’s Lane near the court building in Northampton.
There is extensive road surface failure and multiple deep potholes stretching across almost the entire width of the road. The damaged section is large and unavoidable, meaning vehicles must drive over it regardless of lane position.
This location is particularly dangerous because the defect sits immediately next to traffic lights. Drivers approaching the lights are forced to brake while simultaneously hitting the damaged surface, causing vehicles to bounce or lose smooth braking control. This creates a significant safety risk, especially in wet conditions or heavy traffic, and increases the likelihood of collisions.
Drivers also attempt to steer around the deepest potholes, which creates unpredictable vehicle movement and further danger to other road users, cyclists, and pedestrians nearby.
The road condition is severe enough to risk tyre damage, suspension damage, underbody scraping, and potential loss of control. Given the proximity to the traffic signals and court area with regular pedestrian activity, this requires urgent inspection and repair.
Please arrange for an urgent site inspection and permanent repair as soon as possible as this is a major carriageway defect, not routine wear.
Location: Lady’s Lane, Northampton (near the court and traffic lights)
