Uneven pavement causing rainwater puddles in some places several inches deep

Reported via mobile in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 14:16, Sunday 15 February 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8923926.

The pavements along the entire length of Crofton Avenue are in a terrible states. Slabs are broken, loose and uneven and haven’t been updated in the 20+ years I have lived here. The rainwater collected in them due to the uneven slabs being broken causes either soaking wet feet or a slalom walk to avoid them. This is almost impossible to avoid during hours of darkness. The pavements on both sides need total renovation as they are dangerous

  • I haven’t seen any improvement whatsoever to the footpaths. I have seen no evidence of any contractors working on the footpaths either. I think Bromley council must be mistaken as the pavements are still in a shocking and dangerous condition so please resolve once and for all.
