Damaged roadsigns - Kingsclere & Unsuitable

Reported via desktop in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 13:54, Friday 13 February 2026

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8912093.

The following road signs have been demolished due to an accident several years ago and these indicate traffic flow off Newbury Road heading northbound towards Kingsclere along the Kingsclere Road.

The signs need reinstating and all debris removed as they are littering the verge in the North Wessex Downs which is an AOB.

The signs are on the west side of the carriage way just prior to the junction.

Currently there are no directions which imo are dangerous to drivers unfamiliar with the road as I have seen many cases of drivers in front indicating (or not) too late and stopping abruptly to turn right at the last minute. There is a danger to following traffic.

Signages are

"Kingsclere 7" "Unsuitable for HGVs"
