Reported via desktop in the Potholes category anonymously at 14:46, Monday 9 February 2026
Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8876175.
Reference 130563. Pothole caved in yet again December, logged 6th January, email received from from Liverpool City Council on 12th January said would be resolved by 20th January (I assumed this year not 2027). 35 days and nearly 50MM depth, length of ruler 30CM. Do I have to take out a Section 56 Court Order? You have a duty as per Section 41 of the Highways Act of 1980. Why is this being neglected yet again? same situation this time last year. 2 local Councillors are aware of these issues also.

My bedroom wall is still shaking and shelves rattling from the vibration. Came out on 12th February, this is about the 4th time and I'm just incredulous and exhausted at this point. The left and middle lane of this 3 lane carriageway needs proper re-surfacing. 2 days later and this is what we have, splitting and hole opening up again. You can clearly see the road is sloping because of the indents in the surface from years of heavy HGV traffic. There is also absolutely no point doing these patches, complete waste of money when Liverpool City Council fails to address the stream of water constantly running over these things from their blocked grids and gullies along this stretch of road.
