Persistant parking on east side of road

Reported in the Car parking category by Jon Rankin at 14:20, Tue 30 August 2016

Sent to Mid Sussex District Council 5 minutes later

The street used to have no parking signs on the verges at the top of Semley Road. It also has a big sign at the entry to semley road saying "do not park on the East side of the road - emergency vehicle access required". However, the no parking signs have faded and been removed, there are no yellow lines, and people don't read the big yellow sign. Consequently at least once per week someone parks on the east side of the street because its cheaper than using the nearby station car park. This causes blockages, and would make it very difficult for an emergency vehicle to attend. Please can you paint double yellow lines all the way down semley road on the east side (right hand side as you go down). This would stop the commuters parking on the wrong side of the street and inconveniencing everyone - and potentially risking lives. Many thanks.
