Unacceptable amount of rubble in road

Reported via desktop in the Causing obstruction to pavement/road category anonymously at 12:44, Saturday 7 February 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8860038.

I was driving up Kidnappers Lane last evening in the dark and the rain and was forced up against the kerb by a passing car. My car suffered a serious jolt which I thought must be a pothole. (There are certainly plenty of them thanks to all of the building work that is going on.) When I walked there this morning I realised it must have been the amount of debris, chunks of tarmac that must have been washed there. May I suggest that Kidnappers Lane is monitored regularly as it is currently not fit for purpose because of the amount of traffic caused by the unending building and road works in the area. It is called a “lane” for a reason - the dictionary defines it as a “narrow country road”. I have already had one flat tyre thanks to Newland Homes. The lane needs to be properly and regularly cleaned and cleared.
