Unable to park on road because of whole length driveways and width of roads in Cardonald/Hillington

I find myself unable to park near my destinations because lots of the cottage flats have opened up all of their garden for parking. Think landscape instead of the traditional portrait style, one behind the other. This limits other road users access to the public road to park upon. Has the council really approved these and are all the rubber ramps to cross the pavement into real or makeshift driveways really approved. My thoughts are- not legal so council has to enforce and remove these. Surely there’s a covenant that hedges and walls cannot be removed from around houses for parking.
