Multiple big potholes

Reported via iOS in the Pothole category anonymously at 10:33, Saturday 7 February 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8859031.

The long stretch of road on the A420 past Watchfield roundabout heading to Longcot speed cameras is crumbling! There’s countless massive potholes that are getting impossible to avoid due to how big they’re getting, the rain makes it even worse as they get filled and then you can’t tell if it’s puddles or not, drivers are constantly swerving all over the place to avoid them, there’s even some heading towards the Watchfield roundabout Swindon bound. Something needs doing, at least resurfacing will help this problem as it happens countless times on the A420

  • We’ve just hit one of these pot holes (couldn’t avoid as cars coming the other way) and it’s ripped a hole in our tyre and damaged the wheel itself.

  • This problem has been reported time and time again by me as well as others! These potholes are DANGEROUS and there is going to be a SERIOUS ACCIDENT if something is not done!! The whole stretch of road is crumbling, the potholes are huge, deep and growing forcing traffic on this major, fast road into the middle of the carriageway. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE FIXED NOW!

  • When will this stretch of road be fixed - it is an absolute nightmare to have to travel on regularly . It is a very busy road which you don’t need to be concentrating more on avoiding potholes then other vehicles etc also using this road.
