Cycling danger; curb stone in the middle of the road has risen

Reported via Android in the Pothole category anonymously at 18:16, Friday 6 February 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8856442.

New problem. A curb stone at the edge of a traffic calming hump (rumble strip) has risen up and is VERY dangerous for cyclists. It is hard to see from the other side of the hump and any cyclist who hits it will be lucky to stay upright. It's not a hole so it can't be filled. The curb stone will need to be lifted and re-placed flush to the road surface. This is very urgent. It's a busy cycling route and someone will be hurt.

  • This problem has not been fixed and is dangerous as many cyclists use Frenchay Road, esp at night. It was reported over a month ago.
