Numerous potholes
Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 11:30, Friday 6 February 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8852197.
There are numerous potholes on the east-bound side from the Shrivenham bypass roundabout up to the Longcot turning. These are getting wider and deeper as the days go by and are impossible to miss, particularly when to do so would mean driving on the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic. Add in rain, darkness and the lights of oncoming traffic, there are too many accidents waiting to happen here. The majority are the result of poor fixes. The entire carriageway needs resurfacing in order to get to the root of each issue, not temporary fixes that do not work and do nothing but waste money, time and energy.

I hit these potholes yesterday and have damaged my tyre! These are getting worse by the day, and with the extra rain on the roads and lack of street lighting they are getting much more difficult to spot or avoid. I intend to make a claim for the damage caused by these, which have been reported and left to fester.
