  • Thank you for your report. This issue could be resolved by the instillation of bollards along the grass verge. We must state that these works will need to be funded by residents. This is unfortunately a common issue in towns and urban areas, as a council we cannot stop or prosecute MOP's who park on verges. To clarify, we have not funded the instillation for new bollards for a few years now due to budgets and funding. Another option is for you to contact your local Town or Parish Council to see if they will be willing to fund these bollards.
If self-funded instillation this is something you would like to consider, then please email a request for a bollard quote through to our Highways Enquiries team and this will be passed to the appropriate team to process and respond to you.

Another option would be to contact your local town or Parish Council and suggest they make a formal request to our Schemes team for yellow lining in this area if there are not already lines in place. Sorry we cannot be more help.

    Kind regards
