Road Markings Highways Act 1980
Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 17:24, Wednesday 4 February 2026
Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8839615.
Road cracked in many places due to constant speeding HGV traffic. Warning markings worn away in parts, right by a School and alongside steps used by residents to cross extremely busy section of Queens Drive. Deterioration of road and markings require attention as per TSRGD 2016. Coming right off a Motorway and on a road that has a downhill slope towards the junction of Prescot Road means many Motorists are driving too fast to even stop in time at the traffic lights of Oakhill Road.

Have been out and painted over SLOW marking on road. Underneath is still a large crack in the road which should surely have been addressed first, former patched pothole underneath will just cave in again, meaning it will need to be re-painted again. Most of the Lorries are going too fast down the hill after exiting M62, when they reach this point to even heed this warning.
