The section of Bertie Road from outside number 4 to its junction with Oxford Road is in a constant state of disrepair. The road is quiet, and it appears that this section (unlike the rest of Bertie Road), has never been properly constructed. Several potholes have been recently fixed, but damage quickly spreads as the surrounding tarmac is unsound.
