Dangerous dog out of control in kids play area

Reported via desktop in the Park safety issue category anonymously at 11:39, Tuesday 3 February 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bath and North East Somerset Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8828173.

The dog that lives in the tent with Pablo in Kelson’s Field is being allowed to run free in the kids play area. The dog is a pocket bully and can push open the gate to the play park and runs around frantically in the area. Pablo will eventually retrieve the dog from the area. I have witnessed this three times in the last 5 days. Luckily no children have been using the play park at these times. This play park is no longer safe for children to use due to this uncontrolled dog. This dog has been reported before for terrorising a passers-by with her baby. It’s only a matter of time before a serious incident happens. What are B&NES doing about Pablo and his dog living in the park? There is also an increase in dog mess in the area and I have witnessed the dog doing it’s business in the field with Pablo not aware and so it doesn’t get picked up.
