Investigating
Many large and deep potholes on tanners lane
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category by Clare Powell at 19:55, Monday 2 February 2026
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8824605.
There are about 15 large potholes along the south end of the lane from the stables on the corner to the end of the lane at the Emmer Green End. Some are about 80cm long and 60cm wide. All are deep, about 10cm with sharp edges. The lane is only one track wide and it is now impossible to avoid some of the holes. People are now driving on the soft muddy verges to avoid which is destroying the hedges.

Pot holes are very dangerous in the current weather: the water conceals these completely. caught the tire and it blew out

Potholes 1 metre long and 15 inches wide and 5 inches deep. Increasing in size. Several along the length of the south end of the lane up to and round corner by the stables. It is impossible to avoid these potholes as they are wider than half the lane. These potholes were first reported one month ago and it is a disgrace they have not yet been filled. They are enormous. Especially as there are 2 other smaller holes that have been filled since I reported these.
