Dog fouling on a daily basis

Reported in the Dog fouling category by Miss T M Harding at 15:25, Fri 19 August 2016

Sent to Torridge District Council 4 minutes later

Dog fouling everyday through the lanes around Diddywell. From Broad Lane through Diddywell, Diddywell Road, Primrose Lane, Blackbird Lane and Northam Burrows. I have reported the problem to the local authority. I have for a period of some weeks picked up and disposed of the poo myself. A lady who walks the lanes regularly did for a 2 week period pick up and tie the bags to hedges etc near where she found it. This offended certain local people st the sight of the bags. After 3 weeks or so she did take the bags down again and dispose of them as she realised how upset some local people were becoming. I have picked a few poos up in the last week or so because they have been left where I park my truck and didn't want to stand in any, again. I through these lanes everyday and also ride my horses through the lanes and on the burrows. Northam Burrows even has a dog control order but I could probably collect a carrier bag every couple of days from the horse riding area. There are several poo bins located around the burrows but for some people must think they don't need to pick it up because of the burrows being common land! Please please help if you can. If you need a petition signing I know several people including responsible dog owners wld be prepared to sign. If you require photographic evidence then I will also obtain some for you.
