Overgrown vegetation restricting width of road

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown Private Vegetation category anonymously at 17:49, Friday 30 January 2026

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8804471.

Hi. I got your reply to my previous report I raised and you concluded the situation doesn’t warrant action and you closed it. What I didn’t mention was how lorries are already refusing to go down the lane although they have always done so. Lorries with side covering don’t want to damage their fabric sides, my oil delivery company has already said they might have to stop coming down the lane. Lorries that do come down the lane use my neighbour’s brick drive and he is seeing his bricks slipping. The real issue is at lorry height. The vegetation is easily 2 ft into road. You can see that in the previous photo I submitted. There is no allowance at the side of the road despite the fact there has always been a stone pillar on the other side of the road that forces lorries into the vegetation (which shouldn’t be there). The vegetation also covers the street light which doesn’t shine down the lane. They’ve trimmed it around the light but the light (which was clear of the vegetation a few years back) is now shrouded by the vegetation. The vegetation is also close to the cables. It really does need attention. Can you please reverie it again with this additional info. Thanks
