Just after the Watchfield roundabout on the A420 heading towards Faringdon, there are many, many huge potholes.

Many, many potholes located between the Watchfield roundabout travelling towards Faringdon. They have been there before and repaired. But they have returned again. This road has claimed many lives over the years and I will not be surprised if another accident occurs as a result of someone who is not familiar with the road swerving to avoid these HUGE POTHOLES. Please, please sort this out (don't just patch it up with cheap materials that require further maintenance in a few months time) I pay my road tax for a reason.

  • Absolutely shocking the state of this stretch of road! Right outside Webbs are some of the worst as they span over the whole carriageway making vehicles swerve over the divider line to avoid, but the whole stretch up to the Longcot turning is dreadful. Accident waiting to happen! Why my car has to have an MOT to be roadworthy when the roads are NOT car worthy! This massive string of potholes have been ‘fixed’ in the past by dumping some tarmac in, but not done properly and most have lifted due to the heavy traffic of HGVs, I dread following one incase I get a lump of tarmac through my windscreen! Very dangerous and needs fixing NOW before something bad happens and someone dies… my last reports on this 2 weeks ago have disappeared!!

  • I wish I could send you a photo but it’s a busy road. Just attend the job. The potholes are getting worse and now they’re so wide you can’t avoid them. I didn’t want to use the oncoming lane because it’s too dangerous. I’m really angry and wish we could stop paying our taxes. Fix it immediately.

  • There are 48 potholes in the stretch between the Watchfield roundabout and the little coxwell junction you appear to have fixed two today at this road is in such dangerous condition and badly needs resurfacing properly not picking and choosing which pot hole you fix
