Very deep and dangerous pothole in carriageway
Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8773487.
Hitting this pothole caused the suspension to hit the bump stops both front and back, it was very loud and quite alarming. This is an extremely dangerous pothole which has grown in size and depth considerably in the last few days.
This pothole will cause vehicle damage and or an accident if left unattended.

This photo is from my dash cam travelling in the opposite direction later in the evening. The hole is on the right of the picture. I will attempt to get a better picture in daylight. Hopefully this picture helps to clarify the location.

My original report was not very accurate in terms of location, these pictures show that the pothole is actually across the road from the Mildmay Oaks turn (Ashley Lodge/Ashley House). There was so much water on the road the pothole was full but I would estimate its depth to be 8-12 inches at least. There is a large amount of spoil which has been thrown up onto the path demonstrating how deep this hole actually is.
