Faded and incomplete signs
Reported via iOS in the Road traffic signs category anonymously at 12:55, Fri 12 August 2016
Sent to Norfolk County Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 877287.
On the approach to the Pullover roundabout along the A47 from Wisbech the near side lane is marked 'All Routes' and the offside lane marked with a right turn arrow and ' A47'. All these painted signs are faded and need renewing. More importantly if you remain in the near side lane marked 'All Routes', intending to go right A47 towards Kings Lynn, once you are approaching the next exit for the services the near side lane is marked with an 'Ahead only' arrow and the offside lane with a right turn arrow. This is confusing to those who don't know the area and I have seen injudicious lane changing occurring repeatedly including heavy goods vehicles. In the near side lane the 'Ahead only' arrow needs to be changed to an 'Ahead and right turn' arrow and an 'Ahead only' arrow needs adding to the near side lane prior to the slip on from the services. I think this would solve the issue with uncertainty amongst drivers unfamiliar with the junction and thus increase safety.

I last used the junction a few days ago and it was still the same. However I have had contact from the Authority and apparently this has been added to a bigger plan for the area so will hopefully be addressed soon.

As before, apparently being looked at as part of a long term plan for the A47. No further information received from LA.

Not yet fixed but the HA has just started works on the A47 so expect this fault may be part of that ongoing program.

Still the same. Witnessed a near miss the other day when a motorist in the right hand lane took umbrage to the car in front of me in the near side lane continuing around the roundabout to the eastbound A47 so cut across the front off him causing the victim to swerve. I guess the Highways Agency can't afford a bit of white paint to clarify things whilst waiting for the long term work to go ahead.

Still the same about a week ago. Was informed this was part of a long term plan so will close this case and wait to see what happens.
