Street light is shining directly into my bedroom and living room windows

Reported via desktop in the Light Not Working category anonymously at 15:44, Friday 23 January 2026

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8753305.

A new lamp post has been erected. The new lamp post is a lot taller than the one it replaces and the light is now a nuisance. There is a very bright light at night in our bedroom which is opposite the lamp post. This happens because it is so much higher up than it used to be. Please could you arrange for some shielding or shading to be fixed to the lamp post that it does not disturb our sleep. Thank you very much
