30cm x 30cm x 7 cm pothole before bend heading towards Benson. On driving line and invisible in wet and dark conditions.

  • Struck this pothole last night (12/02/2026). Caused my front nearside tyre to blow out. Could not see it in the dark with wet road surface and bright headlights shining towards me. Recovery vehicle told me that right now they are getting 5/6 calls a day for the same stretch of road. As I was on my way again after replacing the tyre, another car was pulled up onto the verge with hazard lights on, and a recovery van alongside it.

    Dangerous to leave the road in this current state.

  • This large pothole is a serious hazard and is still causing damage on a daily basis. It is deep and directly in the tyre line, and impossible to avoid without crossing onto the opposite side of the road (which is impossible with oncoming traffic).

    There are at least THREE potholes here that haven't even been marked for attention! Absolutely lethal for motorcyclists.
