Flooded busstop

Reported via mobile in the Drainage category by Phil Brown at 14:49, Thursday 22 January 2026

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8744576.

Flooded busstop

Each time it rains, even a little, the westbound stop floods. It can and does remain flooded for days (and even a few times) weeks at a time. This effectively traps the elderly residents of the Portals bungalows opposite. They're all old and rely on public transport for most journeys, particularly at this time of year. They are unable to reach this busstop to travel to Whitchurch, or alight there coming home from Overton village. Before anyone says 'wear wellies', many of them have strollers or wheeled trollies, it's just not possible when they can't see their feet. There's no safe place for the bus to stop before or after this official stop.
