Part of Hinksey roundabout almost impassable due to flooding

Reported via mobile in the Flooding on Road category anonymously at 17:17, Wednesday 21 January 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8737590.

This section of the roundabout usually shows some flooding during heavy rain and in today's downpour is the worst I've seen it. If you come off the southbound A34 in the right lane of slip road in order to go clockwise round towards Himksey Hill, you have no choice but to cross over into left lane when you get to the roundabout to get around this section without driving through floodwater whose depth is impossible to tell from looking. It was not possible to take a photo but the water this afternoon is not just submerging the inside lane but also beginning to cover the outside lane.

  • One lane still flooded, not clearing, so it appears to be blocked drain issue, please deal with this before more heavy rain!
