Overgrown hedge narrows pavement

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 09:00, Sat 6 August 2016

Sent to West Sussex County Council 5 minutes later

The hedge from the house is very overgrown and goes across the pavement so effectively there is room for only one person at a time, both in Middle Road and Sullington Way. Waiting for a bus, if someone comes past, you find yourself stepping back and being caught up in the hedge! The double decker buses are also clipped by the higher parts.

Updates

  • It has been trimmed since, and that is appreciated. But I do wonder how long the effects will last as it has been done in line with all the street furniture so the pavement is still narrowed all along and a few weeks growth will soon mean another trim is needed. Along Sullington Way the pavement is still much narrowed.
