Black Ice on side walk way at Crown Rise & Knoll Park Road KT16 9LF

Reported via desktop in the Severe ice on the road category anonymously at 22:48, Tuesday 20 January 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8731840.

Greetings, Esteemed Member of the Surrey County Council,

I wish to report an incident formally that occurred on 7th January 2026, approximately at 07:20 am, as I was departing for my place of employment. The morning was dreary and overcast, with a layer of black ice concealing the pavement. I stumbled and fell on the uneven pavement walkway, resulting in no significant injuries aside from damage to my hands, fingers, and the shattered glass of my mobile phone display. However, the ensuing days were marked by discomfort resulting from the influence I exerted on my posterior.

Subsequently, within the week, I observed a comparable occurrence involving children strolling along the identical pedestrian pathway. I would like to formally request the council, on behalf of the residents of Crown Rise and Knoll Park, KT16 9LF, to install salt grit bins to ensure the protection of our children and elderly residents.
