There is a huge pothole at the end of Mill Lane that popped my tyre at the end of December, driving no more than 10mph after turning into Mill Lane from Vicarage. There are multiple reports for this area for how awful the potholes are, which are deteriorating day by day. I see that there are many reported issues that have been "resolved" recently, and many recent reports that say someone will investigate. There are no outlines and no care, because these potholes have previously been fixed poorly which has led to this awful stretch of road (Intersection Vicarage/Mill Lane into Mill Lane) - and my tyre popping. These potholes have been present as long as I've lived in the area (2+ years) and there are always reports with how bad these potholes are. This needs to be investigated ASAP.
Updates
-
Thank you for reporting a pothole.
First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
We will provide updates about this report.
