Large mushy accumulation of rotting leaves across the pavement

Reported via desktop in the Leaves or blossom category anonymously at 16:30, Monday 19 January 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 8722246.

This may be related to FixMyStreet ref: 8639926. There is a large accumulation of rotting leaf matter across the pavement. Unless you happen to be wearing wellies this is difficult to step over. People with poor eyesight will find it difficult to avoid getting wet feet or slipping on the mush.

  • The wet mush heap is on the southern edge of the pavers where the pavement transitions from flagstones to blacktop. When it rains, a pond builds up due to the dam created by the mushy leaves. This partially drains(slowly) via a channel seen in the top LHS of the photo.
