Unauthorised motor vehicles - Hoblingwell Wood

Reported via mobile in the Security Issues category anonymously at 09:28, Monday 19 January 2026

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8717629.

Motor vehicles are being driven into Hoblingwell Wood at the end of the barrier adjacent to Leesons Way, opposite number 93.

I am told that this happened yesterday (Sunday) and involved three large petrol scramblers that were doing circuits along Leesons Way, through the woodland and around the eastern meadow and sports playing fields.

Please could this be monitored and investigated with a view to finding a lasting solution?

  • Last Thursday, members of the Friends of Hoblingwell used old blackthorn branches to form a dead hedge to fill the gap. Hopefully this will deter access at this point and allow the scrub at the edge of the woodland to recover.
