Dangerous flooding

Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category by Alison Wren at 21:25, Sunday 18 January 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8716163.

This crossing is at a really busy junction and in heavy rain in order to cross the road to the bus stop you have to walk in between the two lanes of cars waiting at the red light for several metres ( and get shouted at by drivers!). Water is several inches deep on the crossing. Yesterday I was driving saw a woman with a white stick who was really struggling I would have stopped to help her but was in the wrong lane. I think you should deal with this immediately as it's a real hazard not just minor inconvenience it can't wait.

  • For weeks this has been a hazard for anyone attempting to cross to Grove Road. I attempt to use the crossing with two friends, none of us in the first flush of youth, and as the crossing resembles a lake we have to wait for the green man and then hope for the best as we cross from the corner of Lodge Causeway. Added to this is the chances of being soaked by uncaring drivers. Whatever is causing this buildup of water, be it a blocked drain or something else, it requires sorting before someone is hurt here.
