Recent Pothole Repair - Already Failing
Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 13:10, Sunday 18 January 2026
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8713232.
A recent pothole repair that was carried out in the this area on Thursday 8th January 2026 by S&D Paving along with numerous other patch repairs on the same stretch had already begun to fail.
As can been seen the edge seals on this pothole are already missing in places and continuing to break away.
Chunks of the tarmac repair have broken away revealing the original pothole & rutting beneath the repair.
How can it be acceptable for a repair to begin to fail in just over a week after it was carried out.
Please can S&D paving be made to return to redo the entire pothole repair to standard required to provide a long last defect repair.
The quality of this repair work is unsatisfactory and it is an unacceptable use of public money.
