Large, long, deep pothole

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category by Phil Brown at 17:36, Saturday 17 January 2026

Large, long, deep pothole

I know this is a tiny little single carriageway road in the middle of nowhere going even further to nowhere, but this hole is awful. Yes, I do have a vested interest, I live in Whitchurch but I use this road several times a week & it's dreadful.

\Heading north it's smack on the offside wheel-track and takes some avoiding. As this road is used heavily by agricultural vehicles, this hole's getting worse almost by the day. Tractors don't really care about holes, they just sort of bump & glide over them, but they & the constant 4x4 traffic, to say nothing of the regular articulated lorry traffic (grossing close to 44t) to the several farms in the area are making the situation worse.

Yes I know it's a road to nowhere, but it's surprisingly well travelled & it'd be nice if this particular hole wasn't there.
