Significant carriageway damage needing urgent repair/complete resurface

Reported via desktop in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 11:13, Saturday 17 January 2026

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8707582.

The road seems to be sinking on the left hand carriage way heading into Salters Lode coming from wisbech direction, you either have to go as far left as possible to avoid damaging your vehicle or go into oncoming traffic on a nearly blind corner, this has been present and getting worse for close to a month now and in urgent need of a complete resurface to rectify the issue, the bulk of the damage is on the actual corner itself, but is damaged just before and just after the corner too, with just a little further down the road sinking aswell (in the main carriageway located at the entrance to private property)

  • PLEASE HELP! If this was Lincolnshire, then Lincolnshire County Council would now be providing prompt, comprehensive, and publicly-available updates to this report, right here on the FixMyStreet website, for everybody to see. Unfortunately, Norfolk County Council don't do that (and they even try to discourage people from actually using FixMyStreet)! Please SIGN THE PETITITION, to urge Norfolk County Council to start collaborating with FixMyStreet, in the same way as Lincolnshire County Council is doing!
