Large pothole on side road off A4074 before farm entrance
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 10:26, Saturday 17 January 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8707051.
This very large pothole is concealed by the recent rain as this road has a lot of surface water on it. As a result I drove through it and got a puncture if someone. I was driving very slowly and worry that it could cause even more problems to any driving a little faster. I need a new tyre at a cost of £121.99
I haven’t driven down this road for a while so can’t say how long it has been there but it is extremely deep and could cause more problems than a puncture as it is on a side road from a 40mph busy road. Drivers are looking at when it is safe to cross into the side road at this dangerous crossing so can’t look for potholes on the receiving road. Actually if they were to be distracted by the pothole it might stop them turning and could cause an accident.
The pothole is in the middle of the side road off the A4074 before you reach the entrance to the farm
