Overgrown hedges

Reported via desktop in the Shrubs/Trees category anonymously at 21:35, Friday 16 January 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8705873.

These hedges now take up almost half of the width of the pavement alongside an extremely busy road. Passing, or walking two abreast is not easy and potentially dangerous. The hedges include shrubs with sharp spines, making the journey more hazardous. They are regularly cut, but have been allowed to get too big.

  • Same hedge, same pathway obstruction . How long will it take to be able to use the designated pathway? Come on Council it is your job to keep the pathway clear. The obvious solution is to employ contractors to clear the obstruction and present the owner with the bill.
