Parents driving on pavements and grass

Reported via mobile anonymously at 15:33, Friday 16 January 2026

Sent to Crawley Borough Council and West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8703515.

Living on a road next to a primary school (Fitchet close), we continuously have problems with the volume of traffic parking during pick up times. Parents often park inconsiderately and driving on green verges as well as pavements that pose dangerous risks to walking school children. The road is a dead end street and cannot cope with the volume of traffic. This has caused significant damages to greens in the area which the neighbourhood takes pride at maintaining. Cars parking on the green often get stuck as they sink and tyre spinning making the situation worse. Something needs to be done to protect the green spaces on this residential road as it’s being abused by inconsiderate parents picking and dropping off their children. Perhaps some wooden barriers
