Speeding
Reported anonymously at 19:33, Fri 8 January 2010
Sent to Norwich City Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 86879.
Drivers still speed on Angel Rd.The money spent on speed bumps etc; has been a waste. The only advantage has been a reduction in speed for some drivers, from ?/ to 35 to 40mph,boot hugging is now the favourite if you stay at the asked for 20mph.

The problem was amount of monies spent on speed bumps and extra drainage, it is not working to stop speeding. to make situation worse Angel Rd; is to be closed for a further four days, from (14/0210 to 19/02/10) for more drainage works
Keep spending Norwich City Council.

I agree - cars are still speeding in the area between the Blyth Jex School and Waterloo Road despite having been made 20mph zone. Maybe better signage or speed checks to bring the recent 20mph change to to less observant drivers or boy/girl racer types. Agree with the comment if you do drive at 20mph you normally end up with a couple of boot huggers on your tail.

I am pleased other people are as concerned over the Angel Rd; speed bump waste of money, and the Blyth Jex to Waterloo Rd; area.
I would suggest they contact the counciller who's title is "Transport Planner" and see if they can obtain more sensible advice than I got.Posted anonymously at 15:46, Sat 27 February 2010

I have updated as of the 27 Feb;advising other interested parties to contact the Norwich City "Transport Planner" to hopefully receive a more positive answer than I got.
My advice from the "TP" was "That as a concerned citizen I should contact the police and voice my concerns to them"?Posted anonymously at 10:07, Sat 6 March 2010

I did receive a reply to my e-mail from the Norwich north MP, saying she had reviewed the speeding problems in Norwich. She is going to meet with the city council to see what they have to say on same and would let me know. When I will have an answer I have no idea.
