Inspection cover rattling & loose

Reported via mobile in the Manhole category anonymously at 22:41, Monday 12 January 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8676530.

I have reported this matter over 12 months ago. An inspection cover is loose and ill fitted and rocks every time a vehicle goes over it. This will weaken the cast metal and eventually break.

Council ref: ENQ261072601

  • Im unable to take a phot as its in the centre of the road. It is a couple of metres from the raised crossing on the Swindon bound carriageway. It has W stamped on it so assume this is the water board
