Path/Way doesn't match map problem
Reported in the Path/Way doesn't match map category by Gloucestershire County Council at 16:18, Tue 16 December 2025
FixMyStreet ref: 8670808.
Report of Issues with Brockworth Footpath EBW 65 from Churchdown Road (N of A417 overbridge) to junction with EBW Footpath 1 east of the M5 Soutbound link road to A417.
This route is impassable and from the Online mapping it appears to follow a route within the woodland bank skirting the A417/M5 link road. However the Fix my street mapping appears to show a cross field path fo most of its route slightly to the north of the woodland bank.
Could you therefore clarify which is the definitive route - it would be helpful if you can send me a copy of the relevant Side Roads Order for the Brockworth Bypass scheme (works were completed around 1996).
Could you advise what can be done to clear this route. When I walked this and originally reported to National Highways (who referred me to GCC) I stated:-
"I walked from the Churchdown Road gateway along the eastern edge of the field and at the what three words location /// summaries.mammoths.staring crossed a stile into the woodland belt and started to walk along inside the fence but it became immediately obvious that this path is completely overgrown and it was impassable."
